About the Astronomical Engine

All tools use the same astronomical engine: Python Skyfield with NASA's JPL DE440 ephemeris. Accuracy depends on the displayed quantity, observer, time input, sampling interval, and calculation convention.

Planetary positions are cached at hourly intervals. Moon data, void-of-course windows, and retrograde schedules are derived using named rules; planetary hours use local sunrise and sunset for the selected coordinates.
