Strawberry Moon

The Algonquin name Strawberry Moon is one of the most widely recognized full moon names. In Europe, it was called the Rose Moon (roses peak in June), Mead Moon (honey was harvested for mead-making), or Hot Moon. The Celts associated June's full moon with the height of the Oak King's power, just before his fall at the solstice.
