⚜ Lwa Feast Days — 2026
About This Calendar
Vodou (Haitian Vodou) and Voodoo (New Orleans/Louisiana) are distinct but related traditions rooted in West and Central African spiritual practices, developed through the African diaspora and syncretized with Catholicism. The Lwa (spirits) are served on the feast days of their Catholic counterparts.
Like Santería, Vodou is a lineage-based tradition transmitted through initiation and direct teaching from elders (Mambos and Houngans). This calendar provides feast day timing as a reference — the ceremonies, songs, offerings, and rituals specific to each Lwa are the knowledge of initiated practitioners.
Ancestor service (les Morts) comes before Lwa service. The dead are honored first, always. For tools, see our planetary hours calculator and moon phase display.
