Santería / Lucumí Calendar 2026

Santería (Regla de Ocha, Lucumí) is an Afro-Cuban religion rooted in the Yoruba traditions of West Africa, syncretized with Catholicism during the colonial period. Each Orisha is honored on the feast day of their Catholic syncretism — a practice born from the need to preserve African traditions under colonial suppression.

This calendar provides feast day timing only. The deeper practices of Santería — initiations, ceremonies, divination (Ifá) — are transmitted through direct lineage from godparents (padrinos/madrinas) to godchildren. This is not a tradition that can be learned from a website. We honor that by providing timing tools without pretending to teach the practice itself.
