Chaos Magic Calendar 2026

Nothing is true; everything is permitted. Planetary timing as experimental tool, not dogma. Use what works. Discard what doesn't.

Chaos magic doesn't require a calendar. It doesn't require anything. That's the point. But if you're looking for timing tools to test — to use as a variable in your experimental practice — astronomical cycles are the most testable framework available. The data is real. Whether the timing affects your results is your experiment to run.

Why Timing Might Work (Pragmatically)

The chaos magic perspective: planetary hours, moon phases, and astrological transits are psychological anchoring tools. They create the expectation of a specific energy, which shifts your mental state, which affects your gnosis, which affects your results. Whether there's a "real" planetary influence or just a psychological one is irrelevant — results are results.

That said, if you've never tried timing your workings to planetary hours or moon phases, the results might surprise you. Test it. Keep records. Be your own scientist.

Useful Timing Frameworks

Sigil Charging
Full moon for maximum energy. Dark moon for stealth/hidden results. The planetary hour matching your intent adds a layer. Mars hour for aggressive intent, Venus for desire, Jupiter for expansion.
Servitor Launch
New moon for birth. Waxing moon for growth-oriented servitors. Choose the planetary day that matches the servitor's function. Some practitioners birth servitors at eclipses for amplified power.
Paradigm Shifting
Mercury retrograde is genuinely useful for paradigm shifts — the disrupted communication energy loosens fixed mental patterns. Also: equinoxes (balance/transition points) and eclipses (pattern interrupts).
Divination
Monday (Moon) during a Moon hour, especially at full moon. If that sounds too ceremonial for you, that's fine — but test it against random timing and compare accuracy.
Banishing / Reset
Waning moon, Saturn day (Saturday), Saturn hour. Stack three "removal" correspondences. Or do it whenever you want. The only rule is results.
Exploit Eclipses
2026 has 4 eclipses: Feb 17 (solar), Mar 3 (lunar), Aug 12 (solar), Aug 28 (lunar). Eclipses are pattern disruptions in the cosmic routine. Use them.

2026 Events Worth Noting

Jupiter enters Cancer (exalted) on May 24 — the strongest Jupiter transit in years. If you've been doing abundance/expansion work, this is your window. Three Mercury retrogrades (Mar 14, Jul 10, Nov 1) for review and paradigm work. August has both a total solar eclipse and a partial lunar eclipse in the same month — maximum disruption energy.

For the full timeline, see the 2026 events page. For real-time planetary hours, the calculator doesn't care about your paradigm — it just gives you the data.
